Huddersfield sits in West Yorkshire, with an economy built on industrial machinery and engineering, textiles, fashion and luxury goods, and chemicals and process industry. We deliver Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Azure work here remote-first, with on-site workshops at the points where being in the room changes the outcome, and we publish three local analyses rather than claiming an office we do not occupy.

Huddersfield analyses

Three local analyses

Each one takes the local sector mix seriously: the metrics that break here, the architecture those industries need, and the regulatory obligations that apply.
Local economy

The local economy

Huddersfield retains genuinely specialist textile and engineering manufacturers, where small batch sizes and high specification variation make option-level and measurement-level analysis necessary. Chemicals activity adds batch genealogy and yield work.

The University of Huddersfield has a practical engineering focus well matched to local manufacturers.

Economic anchors

  • specialist engineering and textile manufacturing
  • chemicals and coatings production
  • a university with applied engineering strength

Where the clients sit

  • Huddersfield town centre
  • Leeds Road corridor

How buying works here

Three to eight weeks from first conversation….

Relatively fast and relationship-led, with procurement entering late unless the value is high. Day rates and fixed prices are both normal, and buyers expect them early rather than after three meetings.

Supplier and contracting information

Who has to say yes

  1. Budget holder, usually a finance director, CIO or head of data
  2. IT and information security review, increasingly including a supplier questionnaire
  3. Procurement, for value above the delegated authority threshold
  4. Legal, for the master agreement rather than the statement of work

Have ready

  • Certificate of incorporation and latest filed accounts
  • Professional indemnity, public liability and employer's liability insurance certificates
  • Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus, effectively mandatory for public-sector work
  • Data processing agreement under UK GDPR Article 28
  • Completed security questionnaire, often a standard set the client reuses

Contract language: English.
